Technology is key to achieving Governors Highway Safety Assocation’s ambitious safety agenda of "Toward Zero Deaths." The 2010 GHSA Annual Meeting, "Technology and Highway Safety: What's Driving Our Future?," will examine technology's numerous benefits and challenges. Automated enforcement, alcohol interlock devices and data integration are just a few of the technologies being used to help address traffic safety. At the same time, cell phones, PDAs, mobile internet access, and other rapidly advancing technologies are distracting drivers and pedestrians in ways never thought imaginable. The 2010 Annual Meeting will bring together top safety officials, researchers and industry professionals to share best practices, strategies and plans as we continue to work "Toward Zero Deaths."
