Call for Papers for International Workshop on New Technologies

An International Workshop on New Technologies for members of law enforcement will be held in Berlin, Germany, November 23-24, 2010.

Organizers are asking for police, universities and companies to submit papers on research and development projects for possible presentation during the conference. Technologies should have just entered the market or be slated for launch within the next three to five years.

Priority will be given to topics addressing the Internet and computer science, including data overload, secure communication and malware detection; bionics; robotics; satellite communication; biometrics; unmanned aircraft systems; aerospace; and technology to search for and recover biological trace evidence from IEDs before controlled demolition.

The workshop is organized by Fedpol of Switzerland, the Bayerisches Landeskriminalamt (Bavarian State Criminal Police Office), the Oberpfaffenhofen Anwendungszentrum (applications center) and the Bundeskriminalamt (German Federal Criminal Police Office).
