WASHINGTON -- NASA has awarded a contract to Science Systems and Applications, Inc., of Lanham, Md., to provide atmospheric-sciences support services.

This is a cost-plus fixed-fee indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum ordering value of $103 million. The period of performance, including the phase-in period, is from April 1, 2012, through April 30, 2017. This is a follow-on contract and a small business set-aside acquisition.

The contractor will support projects that encompass all aspects of design, development, testing, maintaining, calibrating and operating suborbital instruments for atmospheric and solar observations.
