The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) recently awarded a
grant to fund software and other tools to make it easier to store and process
data for criminal investigations. This
NIJ solicitation and award responds to a high demand by law enforcement
regarding harnessing big data, and the technology behind the award could find
applications in federal government and the private sector.
