Secure Backups - Key to Business Viability

Secure Backups – Key to Business Viability Join Ajay Gupta along with Michael Ryan, CEO of South River Technologies, as they discuss options for and importance of backing up your business data on the BlogTalkRadio Network Clients frequently ask me to recommend the best back-up system for their data and compare the security risk and effectiveness of off-site backups via tapes that are transported by armored carrier versus electronic back-ups through an encrypted channel.  Choosing the right system (or systems) is important, because, as Michael Ryan’s learned recently from personal experience, back-up technologies are not foolproof and can easily be corrupted.  Reliable and secure data backups are essential for the viability of your business. Having your backup tapes picked up by an armored carrier and transported to a secure off- site location can be expensive; especially should you need to have your tapes brought back to your company in an emergency to restore files.

The key to storing back-ups electronically and off-site is strong encryption. We’ll discuss how encrypted communications works, the costs involved, whether you need more than one system,  and what’s required of end users in order to make secure, electronic data backups a valuable option for your enterprise.

We’ll be joined by Michael Ryan, CEO of South River Technologies, will join us to discuss the inner workings of secure electronic communications.
