WASHINGTON, Jan. 9, 2014 – Scientists, researchers, analysts and observers gathered at the Hart Senate Office Building here for demonstrations and explanations of breakthrough technologies at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Congressional Tech Showcase today.

The showcase provided a glimpse of pivotal investments and new capabilities that enable the United States to face multi-faceted threats in an uncertain world with constrained budgets.

“Many people and organizations worked to make technologies such as stealth, navigation, precision guidance and networking a reality,” a DARPA spokesman said. “In each case, DARPA made key investments that changed what was possible and started a revolution in capability.”
