NASA to Discuss Plans for Commercial Crew Development

WASHINGTON -- NASA will host a media teleconference today, Thursday, Dec. 15, at 11:30 a.m. EST, to discuss a modified competitive procurement strategy for the Commercial Crew Program. The program will assist industry in developing a commercial system that will transport American astronauts into space.

The teleconference participant is:

-- William Gerstenmaier, Associate Administrator, Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters, Washington.

To participate in the teleconference, reporters must email their name, media affiliation and telephone number to Joshua Buck at jbuck@nasa.gov by 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 15.

Audio of the teleconference will be streamed live on NASA's website at http://www.nasa.gov/newsaudio.
