Special Edition of Technology Today- Healthcare IT - Risks, Rewards and Contingencies

** Special Edition of Technology Today - Broadcasting Live
                     On Friday, July 29th at 2:00 PM.**

The health care industry is becoming more and more technical – whether you are transitioning to electronic health records or investing in robotic devices, there is no stopping the growing field of healthcare IT. Whether you invest in technology to save costs or the ability to better track clinical outcomes, Health IT is happening.

This week, we look at the unique risks that the medical industry faces as they enter the digital age. Topics to be discussed include:

           The need to secure electronic health records;
           Securing access to operating room equipment and Hospital SCADA equipment that are now Internet accessible; and
           What to do with old or retired equipment ? and what you need to do to ensure electronic files don’t ‘walk away’ from hospitals or large practices.

We’ll also look at solutions for mitigating and protecting against these risks.
