WASHINGTON – The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s
podcast series, Prevention Profiles: Take Five, has received a Second Place
Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Award from the National Association of Government
Communicators.
Prevention Profiles: Take Five highlights issues related to
preventing drug misuse among college students. Each podcast episode is posted
monthly and features interviews with individuals at the federal, national,
state, and local levels, based around five questions related to drug misuse
prevention among college students.
“DEA plays an important role to help support colleges and universities
in their efforts to prevent drug misuse among college students,” said DEA Chief
of Congressional and Public Affairs Dawn Dearden. “DEA is honored to be
recognized by NAGC for its efforts to broadcast timely information to
prevention professionals in higher education to help ensure the health and
safety of their students.”
The podcast airs on www.campusdrugprevention.gov, DEA’s
website for professionals working to prevent drug misuse among college
students. The website offers valuable information, including data and research,
news updates, publications, national and statewide conferences and events, and
resources available from DEA and its federal partners.
NAGC’s Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Awards is an annual
