NSF I-Corps Anniversary Event

National Science Foundation celebrates milestones from first year of groundbreaking Innovation Corps

During the past year, the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program has reached several critical milestones and surpassed expectations. I-Corps has trained nearly 100 teams to move technology from academic laboratories into the commercial world and has inspired an emerging network of researchers and business partners, which will continue to expand during the coming year.

On Wednesday, July 18, 2012, NSF will host a celebratory event and panel, followed by a showcase session featuring the accomplishments and demonstration technologies from some of the most successful I-Corps teams. The event will include a panel session with I-Corps team members sharing their experiences and remarks from distinguished guests including University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman and Georgia Tech President G. P. "Bud" Peterson.

The day's events will begin at 12:30 p.m. at NSF headquarters in room 375, and the showcase session will begin at 1:30 p.m. in room 110. For instructions on visiting NSF, see the NSF website.
